JESSICA'S CONCERT REVIEW
Here is my review from Jessica's Concert At Mohegan Sun in Connecticut Last night she SOLD out the arena of 10,000 People!!! It was AWESOME!
Okay I went to Jessica's concert last night and oh my gahh.. I have met and seen Jessica in concert MANY times before but last night was by far the best I think I have ever seen her! She was amazing! First, they held a private dinner upstairs in an enclosed area of the casino and that's where there was me and about 7 or 8 other fans and we all got to eat with Jess and Nick and Lea and Drew were there but they didn't really say anything. Jess was asking all of us more questions then we were asking her it was really cute. Then we went onto the meet and greet at about 6pm. The concert was supposed to start at 7:30pm but people were still buying tickets at 6pm and Jessica didn't want the people who were buying tickets to miss out on any of the show so she asked the venue to hold the show until 8pm. How sweet! Her concert DID end up selling out. There were about 10,000 people there. It was crazy! They allowed cameras out in the actual audience but they held onto my camera backstage because they had their own photographer. She did meet and greet and I just kind of hung out back there sitting around. (My uncle is on security so I was back there most of the night) Ryan is REALLY funny! I did make a COMPLETE fool of myself lol as always. Nick and Drew were only there for the very beginning and then they hopped on a plane to NYC (I think) that's what Jess said because she said she's going to see him tomorrow in NYC. So y'all going to Radio City he'll be there! Anyways, I was walking around to go into the backstage and this venue is a complete circle and I was busy talking to oneof my friends and I just walked right into them both. They were wearing matching outfits almost it was funny. Anyways, I went backstage. and I was was going to take a picture of something right out on the side of the stage were the sound is but I was too short and I was standing on one of those folding chairs ya know? And I ended up stepping too far back and I started to fall and Drew, Nick, Lea and Joe were standing right next to me and they like jerked forward to make sure I wouldn't fall but I hopped off the chair instead so I wouldn't lose my balance completely. I felt like a complete dork. They laughed Joe gave me a strange look. Nick said he had to make a choice between 2 labels but he wasn't allowed to talk to me or anyone about them because nothing is final he still needs to pick. Now onto opening act!
He was really good! I didn't think I was gonna like him but I did. He was VERY into the crowd loved them very talkative to them. It was cute a fan had made him a shirt that said "Nick" on it and he had it under his real shirt and he said "Some fan here made me this and it's embarrassing but Im gonna show you all anyways!" and he pulled up his shirt and was wearing the one that said "Nick" the crowd was screaming it was funny! After he was on he said he'd be giving away free signed CDs but he didn't end up giving any away because the people out side waiting for them couldn't line up, it was all a mob. I got one backstage though, I haven't listened to it yet.
Then Jessica!! She was AMAZING! Ive never seen her put on a better performance. People were handing her posters on the stage and she'd stop singing and be like "I'll sign that for you in a minute!" it was cute. She opened with I think Im in Love. And ended with Iressistible then came back out for With You. On Irresistible she messes up on purpose. She sings the 2nd verse twice and doesn't sing the 1st verse at all. She said backstage it's because people don't care if she messes up, they see her for who she is and love it! The question and answers were:
Q: What do you plan to do after your tour?
A: She is spending 7 days on a christmas album and then she might do Daisy Dukes, she was almost positive she will be.
Q: What do you not like about being on tour?
A: She misses Nick and spending time with him.
Q: When did you realize you were really famous because of your music?
A: She realized she was famous for Newlyweds when she was in Danvers Mass and they had 8,000 fans show up and her and Cacee were the only 2 there and they came in a little towncar and no security because they thought it'd only be 500 people. But she realized she was famous for her music when she was on stage at Divas Live.
I think they only did 4 or 5 questions and I cannot for the life of me remember what they were. She was really absolutely wonderful and I loved it. Im so proud she sold out that's excellent! They didnt show a lot from the Variety show, only the clips where she has funny pick up lines and then Newlyweds they showed A LOT from the new season playing now and they showed Jessica Sampson at the very end that was funny! She came back said "Y'all didn't think I was gonna forget the T-shirt song did ya?" and she sang With You. And at the very end when she left the stage she was like "I'm exhausted and I need to tinkle" It was cute and she kinda skipped off the stage. Also, one dad was on stage his 2 daughters bought him the ticket for father's day and during the meet & greet he had a pick up line and told it to Jess is was cute because she was telling the audience and he didn't understand her and they were going back and forth b/c he couldn't hear and he leaned over to listen and it looked like he was gonna kiss her and the audience was laughing. His pick up line was: "Are you sure you're not from Tennessee because you're the only 10 I see." Jess was laughing she's like that's such a good one. lol it was really cute.
