 They’re famous, they’re blond, they’re beautiful, they’re moms-to-be – and they know a lovely dress when they see one! Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Kim Zolciak-Biermann wore this silky Roberto Cavalli maternity gown last Wednesday to promote her new NBC Universal show, Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding. The dress, which retails for $2,200, features a rose pattern with striped accents at the hem and bodice. Then yesterday, a fan sent a picture to Kim’s Twitter page, saying, “look what I came across.” Sure enough, it was a photo of Jessica Simpson wearing the same Cavalli dress! Jessica’s dress looks a little redder than Kim’s version, but there’s no mistaking the design. She wore it for her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 19, pairing it with a black leather jacket and flats. By contrast, Kim wore the gown on its own and with 6-inch heels, a luxury she can still enjoy since she’s early in her pregnancy. The Kimmel interview was the one in which Jessica famously quipped, “Apparently I have a lot of amniotic fluid, so when my water breaks, it will be like a fire hydrant!” Glad it didn’t happen while she was on the show; it would be a pity to ruin such a pretty (and pricey) outfit. Jessica Simpson is still expecting. The mom-to-be, who celebrated her “dream” baby shower in March, is setting the record straight about the arrival of her first child.
Simpson recently played bridesmaid at a pal’s wedding, which she attended with fiancé Eric Johnson. “Jessica looked stunning,” a source told PEOPLE of the event. “She was moving very slowly and Eric held on to her tightly so she wouldn’t trip in her shoes.” (The star, 31, has said she’s “waddling” but still wearing high heels.) Added an eyewitness at her friend’s nuptials, “It was difficult for her to get around, but she was a great sport and kept smiling.” And she’s kept her sense of humor as well. Source: People.com |
