Jessica Simpson is set to launch a skin care range.

The reality TV star – who has previously lent her name to shoes, clothes, accessories and fragrances – is partnering new shopping site Beautymint.com to sell the line that will see her team up with celebrity aesthetician Nerida Joy.

The anti-aging range is set to use the same retail model as e-commerce sites JewelMint.com and StyleMint.com, which sells T-shirts that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have created, while the former is represented by Kate Bosworth and her stylist Cher Coulter, who have sold pieces of jewelry to the public on the platform.

Jessica – who stars on reality TV show ‘The Price of Beauty’, which documents her traveling the world learning about the fashion and beauty styles of everyday women – is planning to release a fine jewelry range with Firestar Diamonds.
She is the first celebrity to work with the organization on its Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend collection, which is set to be released in October, and explained it is “really special” to be able to create her own pieces.

She said: “Jewelry is such personal expression of style and taste. This collection has allowed me to create pieces that truly reflect who I am, and that can become a keepsake for lifetime.

“I love that a piece of fine jewelry can be passed down from generation to generation. I cherish the pieces that were given to me, so it is really special to be able to design my own and the collection is beautifully crafted. The designs are airy and artistic and so easy to wear.”

BeachMint is having a very, very good year.

In October 2010, the internet start-up partnered with Kate Bosworth and celebrity stylist Cher Coulter to launch JewelMint–a members-only site that sells exclusively-designed jewelry by Bosworth and Coulter. Then, in July 2011, BeachMint launched StyleMint–a similar shopping platform, except this time with the Olsens shilling t-shirts. Now, WWD, is reporting that the online powerhouse is ready for its next venture: Beauty.

BeachMint is partnering with Jessica Simpson and celebrity aesthetician Nerida Joy to sell anti-aging skincare using the same retail model as JewelMint and StyleMint.

We already know Jessica Simpson is retail gold: Her clothing and shoe line (or the brand she licenses her name to), Jessica Simpson Collection is on track to make a billion dollars this year. Partner that with Nerida Joy’s skincare expertise and BeachMint’s apparent tech savvy, and you’ve got a recipe for success.

Adding to the likelihood of success is the fact that BeachMint’s signature structure–which requires members to take a brief quiz to determine their style–might lend itself better to beauty and skincare than to fashion. While JewelMint and StyleMint’s entry quizzes aim to get a handle on users’ fashion sense in order to tailor the online experience accordingly, we’re betting BeautyMint will quiz members on skin type, complexion and coloring and suggest products appropriate for users’ individual needs–something that’s much easier than, say, a computer program selecting what t-shirt you might like based on a 10-question quiz.

WWD also reports that BeachMint will grow in yet other ways. Jill Collage, the president of the Olsens’ company, Dualstar, told the paper, “We want [the partnership] to absolutely expand into different categories, which is why we have the name StyleMint, so it’s not just tied to one thing.”

The way things are going, soon every online store might end with “Mint.”

“Jessica’s Surgery Confession,” reads the headline of a piece in In Touch, which claims Jessica Simpson “wants” to get a breast reduction before her wedding to Eric Johnson.

“She thinks that if she downsizes her breasts, she will look smaller” on her big day, a so-called “friend” of Simpson’s tells the tab.

Another unnamed “insider” is quoted in In Touch as saying that Simpson is terrified of being a “plus-size bride… Jessica wants to waltz down the aisle — not waddle.”

That same so-called “insider“ adds that Simpson’s trying to drop the pounds, but “if the weight doesn’t come off soon, she might either call off her wedding or get surgery… Breast reduction is first on her to-do list.”

Seriously?

Once again, it’s time to bust the boobs at In Touch.

A source close to Simpson assures Gossip Cop that Simpson is NOT getting a breast reduction.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson headed south of the border earlier this week on a romantic private getaway to Mexico. On Wednesday the engaged couple were spotted lounging around the pool at their resort when Jessica playfully planted an upside-down kiss on Eric. Today the pair boarded a private jet headed back to LA, and Jessica tweeted a photo of herself boarding the plane in a tropical dress along with the message, “Sad to leave Cabo, but not the mosquitoes.” The short getaway allowed Jessica a few days to relax before tackling a hectic month ahead. Fall Fashion Week is just around the corner for the designer and her ever expanding line of clothing, bags, and shoes, as well as the primetime debut of her new reality show, Fashion Star, which is scheduled to premiere Sept. 22 on NBC following The Office.

“Mixing business and family has blown up big-time for Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee!” begins a piece from the National Enquirer, which claims the sisters’ new teen clothing venture is tearing them apart.

A so-called “insider” for the tabloid reveals, “Jessica and Ashlee are butting heads over the direction of the clothes,” explaining, “Jess prefers girly frills like lace and flowers,” while her younger sister “wants a more punk rock look.”

According to the mag’s supposed source, “Their disagreements have set off a virtual World War III with them screaming at each other in front of underlings.”

“Jessica constantly throws her fashion success in Ashlee’s face,” continues the “source,” who says things have gotten so bad that Ashlee is “threatening to boycott” her sister’s wedding to Eric Johnson.

Whoa!

As in whoa, the mag couldn’t be any further off on this story.

A source close to the Simpson family calls the Enquirer piece “a joke,” and tells Gossip Cop the sisters’ new fashion line is “going amazingly well,” and that “they are having so much fun.”

The trendsetter donated boxes of Jessica Simpson Collection clothing to the New York headquarters of Baby Buggy — a nonprofit founded by Jessica Seinfeld dedicated to providing underprivileged families the essentials they need to raise healthy and happy children.

Baby Buggy will distribute the adorable dresses, blouses, sweaters, tees, and hats generously donated by Simpson to unemployed mothers to help with their job search. Hats off to the fashion icon for supporting a great cause!

Jessica Simpson stepped out of a studio in LA yesterday in a leg-baring sequined gold minidress. Her fiancé, Eric Johnson, met up with Jess later in the evening at the Sunset Tower, though there was no sign of his parents who joined the engaged couple for cocktails over the weekend. Taping has already begun on Jessica’s upcoming NBC fashion reality contest, Fashion Star, and according to sources Jess and her fellow judge, Nicole Richie, are getting along great. In addition to filming her show, Jessica’s still looking for the perfect wedding dress and launching a new fragrance, I Fancy You. If that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, she’s also prepping for the Fall release of her latest shoe, clothing, denim, and signature bag collection.
