Jessica Simpson says her new jewellery collection reflects her personality and is very proud of the line. The singer-and-actress – who is currently pregnant with her first child – has designed an accessories line for Zales stores and says she was involved in every part of the process.
She said: “This collection has allowed me to create pieces that truly reflect who I am. The pieces can become a keepsake for life.”
The collection – which features earrings, rings and bracelets and more – includes a variety of butterfly-shaped designs based on the star’s handwriting.
Earlier this month, Jessica and her sister Ashlee launched their girls’ clothing line, which is a reflection of both their styles. Describing the new range, which is released through the Jessica Simpson label, pregnant Jessica said:
“It’s a combination of both of our styles. Ashlee is very rock ‘n’ roll, and I’m very American.”
Jessica also revealed she has signed a deal for a maternity line and will also design girls’ footwear. She also admitted she may branch out further if she discovers she is expecting a son.
“Jessica’s Wedding War!” blares a headline from Star magazine, which goes on to claim that Jessica Simpson’s father is ordering her to marry Eric Johnson before she gives birth.
An “insider” for the tabloid says Joe Simpson, a Baptist minister, is “very upset Jess would want to have a child out of wedlock,” and is “trying his best to convince her how important it is to him and her mother that she get married before bringing a child into the world.”
Simpson’s dad is allegedly “pleading with Jessica non-stop” to let him officiate a “small backyard ceremony” like he did for Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz in 2008, one week before the younger Simpson announced her pregnancy.
The mag’s so-called insider says Joe will “keep pushing Jess to let him marry her and Eric right up until the day she gives birth in the spring,” and that his interference in her wedding plans is putting an awful “damper” on Simpson’s baby joy.
Of course, this is the same publication that wrongly reported Simpson was starving herself to get thin for her nuptials; paying Johnson to marry her; and that she stole him from his previous wife, so it’s a bit difficult for Gossip Cop to believe anything they claim to know about the singer-actress.
Regardless, we checked in with a source close to the family, who tells us no one is trying to interfere in Simpson’s wedding plans, which are still slated for after she gives birth.
With New Year 2012 just around the corner we will be overloaded with various ‘top 2011′ lists and here’s one from E! Online: Top 10 Celebrity Twitpics of 2011.
1. Jessica Simpson’s Going to Be a Mummy!
The first-time mommy-to-be officially announced her and fiancé Eric Johnson’s pregnancy in October by way of her clever costume this Halloween. “!!!ANNOUNCEMENT!!!,” she tweeted. “It’s true—I am going to be a mummy.”
“I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears,” the mom-to-be reveals during a visit to the Rachael Ray Show, airing Monday. “It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, ‘There it went. It’s there, it’s really there.’”
But shedding a few tears isn’t anything new for Simpson, who admits she has been crying “at the drop of a hat” throughout her pregnancy. “Even a great soufflé would make me cry,” she adds.
And just as Simpson, 31, and her fiancé Eric Johnson have their guesses as to the sex of the baby, it turns out younger sister Ashlee Simpson‘s 3-year-old son Bronx Mowgli has his own ideas, too.
“He rubs my belly. He said he wants it to be a girl, but he thinks it’s going to be a boy,” Simpson — who has admitted she has no qualms about playing dress up with a son — says.
Sure, the svelte Jennifer Hudson dropped weight with Weight Watchers so it’s no surprise the program is tapping into another Hollywood A-lister to drop the baby poundage.
Jessica Simpson has just signed on the dotted line for an estimated $3 million deal!
Although she’s been getting offers from several weight loss programs, The New York Post reports it’s a done deal with Weight Watchers. One source said, “The deal is in place, and after having her baby, she’ll start with Weight Watchers to lose her baby weight.”
Plus, that’s not the only incentive to drop the extra pounds. She and Eric Johnson will walk down the aisle after she gives birth.
Despite her growing baby bump, Jessica Simpson has been looking as stylish and sexy as ever. The mom-to-be, 31, rocked a skin-tight red Donna Karan dress at the Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York City last month and wore her super long blonde hair curled and in a half-up style.
“I wanted to create a look that was soft and fresh to complement the glow in her face, yet elegant enough to accent the great dress she wore,” celebrity stylist and Moroccanoil Global Brand Ambassador Robert Vetica tells Us Weekly.
After applying Moroccanoil Treatment and blow-drying the star’s hair, Vetica used a 3/4 inch curling iron to create a bouncy base.
“I directed the curls away from her face, then sprayed her hair with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray for a manageable hold that let the hair move and gave it a brilliant shine.”
He then brushed through her hair and teased a large section at the top before pulling it back to the crown. Next, he twisted the teased section and secured it with a rhinestone clip.
Finally, he pulled some of the hair on her left side toward the front and finished with more hairspray as well as a mist of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray for added sheen.
She got engaged a few months before Jessica Simpson, and now Cacee Cobb, fiancée of former Scrubs star Donald Faison, wishes she had a baby bump to match her friend’s!
“All my friends are having kids right now and it’s kind of like you want to have your babies at the same time,” Cobb, Simpson’s personal assistant-turned-best friend, tells PEOPLE. “I can’t imagine my kids not growing up with Jessica’s kids.”
What about a wedding first? “I’d rather skip the wedding and start having kids,” Cobb, who got engaged in August, jokes at the TV Land premiere party for Faison’s new sitcom The Exes.
For now, she’s content making plans for Simpson’s bundle of joy. “We haven’t had a baby shower for Jessica,” she says, squelching rumors of a star-studded event Nov. 21. “But when we do have it, it’s going to be great.”
If you had any lingering doubts that Jessica Simpson is running an unstoppable fashion empire, let us put them to rest. Last night, at the launch of her joint fashion venture with little sister Ashlee, Jessica told the press she’s already working on two or three new projects — and no, none of them involves singing.
Women’s Wear Daily reports that Simpson, who’s expecting a child of her own soon, plans on adding clothes for pregnant women to her repertoire — and stuff for the under-5 set to run around in, too.
Simpson called the new girls’ collection, being produced by The Jones Group Inc., “a combination of both of our styles. She [Ashlee] is very rock ’n’ roll, and I’m very American.” She also said she just signed a deal for a maternity line, and will also be designing girls’ footwear. And should she give birth to a boy? Boys’ clothing is a possibility, too, she added.
Simpson will find out the sex of her unborn child on Monday, and if it’s a boy, we’d be willing to be a line called Simpson by Jessica Simpson will be in stores by next spring.
So let’s recap: She’s got shoes, handbags, outerwear, denim, apparel, fragrances, luggage and and a jewelry line, all of which are more or less selling like gangbusters. Once she figures out a way to do men’s clothing and starts putting feelers out for a home collection, Jessica Simpson is basically going to rule the lifestyle category. And there’s nothing you can do about it.
Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson are pretty sure they know what to expect when they’re expecting – if only they could agree. “I think it’s a girl,” Simpson, 31, told PEOPLE at the New York launch of a clothing line that she and sister Ashlee Simpson created. “But I don’t know yet.”
“I think it’s a boy,” says Johnson, who was on hand at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York along with future mother-in-law Tina Simpson. “We’re pretty much at a standstill there.”
But the couple plans to find out their baby’s gender. “I don’t think we can wait,” says the former NFL player, 32. “Jessica is too honest about everything, she needs to know. I don’t think she can hold that secret to herself.”
Even if she’s wrong about the baby’s gender, Simpson promises her child will be well dressed. “If it’s a boy,” she quips, “I’ll put him in tutus!”
