Simpson Marks First Top 40 No. 1
Jessica Simpson earns her first No. 1 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart this week. Her "With You" bumps "The Way You Move" by OutKast Featuring Sleepy Brown from the top, even though the latter song is up slightly in detections. Simpson's only other Billboard No. 1 occurred on the Hot 100 Singles Sales chart in December 1999 with "I Wanna Love You Forever." "With You" gives Columbia its first No. 1 without Beyonce (including her work with Destiny's Child) on the Mainstream Top 40 chart since Savage Garden's "I Knew I Loved You" topped the list in January 2000. I know that some people have the re-release of In This Skin already and that the mp3s of new tracks from it are already online but I will not put them on my site. I promised myself that I will not put tracks that are on an album which is easy to get on here, I actually want people to get the CD to listen to the tracks and I will continue supporting that by not uploading those tracks :) I feel it's not right to Jessica, so you'll have to find those elswhere or (the best way) get the CD! :D

Some radio stations in the US are already playing the song and from what I have heard they took Nick's part out of it and now Jessica sings the whole song. I don't know why cuz they sound amazing together, oh well...

Simpson, LaBelle Deemed 'Divas'
Jessica Simpson has a reality TV show, a sitcom pilot in the works and, oh yeah, a singing career. VH1 believes all that qualifies her for diva status. Appropriately, then, Simpson will be part of the cable channel's annual "VH1 Divas" concert in Las Vegas. The show is scheduled for Sunday, April 18. Simpson, who stars with husband Nick Lachey in "Newlyweds" on VH1's sister network MTV, is a first-time Diva. She'll be joined at the "Divas" show by Patti LaBelle, also making her first appearance at the concert. Additional performers will be announced closer to the show date. As always, proceeds from the show will go to the Save the Music Foundation, which provides funding for music programs in public schools. Not only have Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey put their marriage on display on the small screen, but they plan to do so in print form as well. The duo are shopping a proposal to publishers for a book that would advise couples on how to have a strong marriage, cameras not included. Simpson and Lachey's book would "share [their] untold story" about how they decided to wed, how they merged their lives, and how they work to make their marriage "hotter and stronger," with the hope that they could teach by example, according to the proposal's cover letter. Lachey didn't like Simpson vomiting on camera
Nick Lachey would really rather you didn't see his wife upchucking. Lachey tells "Access Hollywood" the one time he wishes the "Newlyweds" cameras were not following him and Jessica Simpson was when she launched her fragrance line and was sick. He says Simpson kept throwing up and the cameras were right there. He says they let them tape it because that's life, but he says, "After about the eighth different angle on the vomit, don't you think we have enough of the vomit shot?" He says he just wanted to "let her throw up in peace." And if he can love that, you know their marriage is solid. Lachey denies reports that they're in trouble because Simpson's career is taking off more than his. Associated Press

An friend of Jessica Simpson's tells Globe magazine the singer and her husband Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees were "furious" when they learned of a website claiming to have a videotape of the 'Newlyweds' stars having sex. "She told me it's definitely not them and it must be look-alikes," the friend explained. "When she heard about the tape, she told me she was so embarrassed that she broke down and cried. Jessica called her close family members, including her father - who is a minister - to warn them about the website's claims before they heard about it on the news. Thursday was a busy day at ABC, which picked up six comedy pilots, including untitled shows starring Jessica Simpson and John Stamos. The other projects were "First Family," "Thank God It's Monday," "The Savages," and an untitled show from Time magazine columnist Joel Stein. Reality TV queen Simpson will play Jessica Sampson, a fictional version of herself. I found some pictures of Jessica out and about in Beverly Hills, California filming for the TV program The Newlyweds on January 30. Tagged but still cute!

Superbowl
[...] Newlyweds NICK LACHEY and JESSICA SIMPSON also goofed around on-stage. Then Jessica, a girl after our own hearts, told us her favorite part of the Super Bowl is the food! "It's very fun that the Super Bowl is in Texas because I get to eat all the food that I want to eat, that I've been craving to eat since I've not been living here."
