Month: May 2013
2013 promises to be doubly momentous for Jessica Simpson: The imminent birth of baby number two (a boy to join big sister Maxwell, nearly 13 months) — and a wedding! More than two years after Eric Johnson’s fall 2010 proposal, the Fashion Star mentor, 32, is at long last ready to wed, a source tells Us Weekly.
During her April 14 baby shower, Simpson “was telling friends she wanted to get married a few months after the baby is born,” the source reveals. Simpson and former NFL pro Johnson, 33, have had to cancel nuptials twice thanks to surprise pregnancy news. Thus, the source reveals, “Jessica said, ‘Let’s have this wedding already before I get pregnant with another one!'” (It will be the second marriage for both.)
Towards that end, the Weight Watchers spokeswoman — who packed on about 70 pounds with Maxwell — is already mindful about dropping post-baby pounds for the wedding. During pregnancy number two, the singer is getting help from a personal chef who cooks up calorie-conscious food at her new $11.5 million home in Hidden Hills, Calif.
“The chef is there all day,” a second insider says. “Jessica eats things like egg whites and sausage. It’s healthier.”
This is fantastic and I’m really excited to be able to share this rare video of Jessica starring as Cassie in a musical called “A Chorus Line” during her high school years! :) Huge thanks to Andrey for sending it to me! Jessica was a fantastic actress and performer back then and her voice! I just love how passionately she sang the song :) Hope you enjoy!!
May 25, 2013: She has kept mum on her due date, but it looks like Jessica Simpson can’t have long to go before the birth of her second child. The second time round mother showed off her awe inspiring pregnancy figure while out on Saturday during a girly weekend away with her sister, Ashlee and mother, Tina. With her family be her side and daughter Maxwell in tow, the singer turned fashion designer stopped in a at Italian restaurant Boccali’s.
I uploaded more photos of Jessica’s Beverly Hills house that she’s selling! Looks really amazing.
Jessica Simpson, who is pregnant with her baby No 2, is saying goodbye to her Beverly Hills bachelorette pad. She just listed her longtime residence in Beverly Hills, for $7.995 million. Custom-built in the early ’90s, the 5,500-square-foot home is located in a private celebrity enclave with a gated entrance and vine-covered exterior. Simpson has owned the 5-bedroom property since 2005, when she bought it for $5.275 million following her separation from then-husband Nick Lachey. Simpson isn’t the only celebrity who enjoyed this house with pedigree. Ellen DeGeneres, and Paul Hogan were some of the noted celebrities who lived in this house.

When Jessica Simpson bought Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s former Hidden Hills mansion in March, she was in full mom mode, making space for 9-month-old daughter Maxwell and baby No. 2. Now with her summer due date fast approaching, Simpson is saying goodbye to her Beverly Hills bachelorette pad for good.
The “Fashion Star” judge just listed her longtime residence at 9555 Lime Orchard Rd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 for $7.995 million.
Custom-built in the early ’90s by award-winning L.A. designer Kerry Joyce, the 5,500-square-foot home is located in a private celebrity enclave with a gated entrance and vine-covered exterior. Simpson has owned the 5-bedroom property since 2005, when she bought it for $5.275 million following her separation from then-husband Nick Lachey.
“Ebonized hardwood floors and fabulous crown and [base moldings] throughout are just some of the quality details in this romantically emotional home,” real estate agent Jory Burton of Sotheby’s International Realty wrote in the listing description.
And Simpson isn’t the only celebrity with an emotional attachment to the place. According to Burton, Ellen DeGeneres, “Crocodile Dundee” star Paul Hogan and Hollywood manager Rick Yorn have also lived there.
Recently renovated by Rachel Ashwell of Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture, the interior is Hamptons shabby chic with white-washed fabrics and rich hardwoods. Touches of glam are also evident in the home, with antique chandeliers in nearly every room.
While Simpson now has a private veranda and ginormous swimming pool to enjoy in Hidden Hills, her Beverly Hills property provided her own secret garden. Spanning a third of an acre, its park-like grounds display lush landscaping and a secluded swimming pool. An eat-in kitchen also overlooks a stone courtyard with a serene koi pond.
An estimated monthly payment for Simpson’s home is $29,281, assuming 20 percent down on a 30-year mortgage.
May 19, 2013: Calabasas, CA – Pregnant Jessica Simpson shows off her blossoming baby bump in a tight maternity top during a Sunday lunch with fiance Eric Johnson and their baby girl Maxwell. The happy threesome dined at the popular Kings Fish House in the Calabasas Commons.
It took me so long to get these! But had to wait for them to come to me from eBay :) Really love the photos!
First-time mom-to-be CaCee Cobb is picking up a few parenting tips from her pregnant BFF Jessica Simpson, who is expecting her second child with fiance Eric Johnson in July. “Jessica’s a great mom,” Cobb told Us Weekly during an Exes event at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood May 6. “It’s kind of crazy to see her because she’s further along than I am and she’s chasing around Maxwell, who just turned 1 and is about to walk any day now.”
“She’s got me beat,” Cobb, 35, said of the Fashion Star mentor. “Just watching her, I’m in awe because she makes it look easy — but it’s not, I can tell!”
Even before she married actor Donald Faison late last year, Simpson’s former personal assistant had been eager to start a family. “Right when we decided we wanted to get married, we realized we wanted to have a baby. We were very lucky, though — we did it all in one weekend,” Faison told Us. “We tried so hard before we got married and it didn’t work.”
“Well, before you say we tried so hard, there are a lot of people out there that tried really hard,” Cobb interjected. “We just had a sh-tload of sex and it wasn’t happening.” The spouses learned they were pregnant on Dec. 16, just one day after tying the knot. “It was awesome!” Faison said.
Cobb, who is due in August, joked that she would have her baby “tomorrow if I could.” Unlike some women, “I like being pregnant,” she admitted. “I hate to say it because some people are like, ‘There’s no way!’ But I actually enjoy it so far.”
The former Price of Beauty star added that she wants to try for another baby soon after giving birth to her first.
“I like it,” Cobb told Us. “I like the attention, too! I like him waiting on me hand and foot.”
May 10, 2013: Maxwell Drew Johnson goes out for a stroll in Los Angeles. So cute! Also happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers! :) In Poland Mother’s Day is on May 26th :)
May 5, 2013: Los Angeles, CA – Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson arrive at LAX airport after a quick business trip, Eric carried baby Maxwell in his arms, Jessica wore a black blouse with a black blazer on top showing off her huge baby bump, a colored maxi skirt and black platform shoes.
Seriously I can’t believe it was the finale already! Congrats to the winner! =) Hope you enjoy.

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson ended their marriage eight years ago, but as far as Lachey is concerned, it may as well have been eight decades ago. On Tuesday, May 7, the 98 Degrees singer appeared with his bandmates on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, where he told host Andy Cohen that his relationship with his ex felt like a part of some distant era in history.
“It’s been years [since the last time I talked to Jessica]. Years,” he said, after Cohen asked about the Fashion Star mentor during a game of Plead the Fifth. “Honestly, probably six years…It was like another lifetime ago.”
(Indeed, both Lachey and Simpson have new lives and new families now. The former, 39, married Vanessa Minnillo in 2011 and welcomed son Camden in September 2012. Simpson, meanwhile, is engaged to Eric Johnson, with whom she has a 12-month-old daughter, Maxwell, and a son on the way.)
Asked whether he ever reminisces about his three-year marriage to the singer by watching episodes of Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, the MTV reality series that documented their relationship, Lachey laughed. “I have not,” he replied.
“As you can imagine, that’s not popular viewing in my house,” he continued. “We don’t sit around as a family and watch the old DVDs.”
The boy bander also dished a little on being free of his ex’s parents. “What is the best thing about no longer having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law?” Cohen asked.
“Can I answer this one?” Lachey’s brother Drew piped in. “Everything!”
Simpson’s ex-husband laughed, then added: “The best thing about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law [is]…I don’t have to play grab-ass under the table on Easter Sunday.”
That was rude of Nick… I mean it’s in the past, why bring it up? To promote new cd or tour?
Note to Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton: Better start lobbying now! Working Mother magazine announced its annual list of the 50 Most Powerful Working Moms on Monday, May 6, and not suprisingly, there are business execs and politicians galore on the impressive roster. But household names Jessica Simpson, Beyonce, and Jennifer Lopez also made the list, even cracking the top 10!
“[This] group of American working moms screams power,” says Working Mother Media Editorial Director Jennifer Owens. “They absolutely have talent, influence, status, money and smarts, but they’ve also shown the strength to overcome great obstacles, the insight to innovate and inspire, and the passion to help better the lives of others.”
The soon-to-be-mom-of-two Simpson was cited for her lucrative fashion line and her role on Fashion Star. Lopez, mom to 5-year-old twins Emme and Max, was recognized for her musical achievements as well as her philanthropic side: The singer is co-chair of the Global Mom Relay, which helps bring greater medical access to mothers in the developing world. And Beyonce, “arguably the hardest working mom in show biz,” says the magazine, was honored for her non-stop work ethic; since the birth of Blue Ivy last year, she’s sung at President Obama’s second inauguration, performed a half-time show at the Super Bowl, embarked on a world tour, and…the list of achievements goes on and on.
Other entertainers who made the cut are Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tina Fey, Melissa McCarthy, and Angelina Jolie. Click here for the complete list.
