Inspired by the wonderful feeling of being in love, Fancy Love is Jessica Simpson’s second release on the fragrance market, which came out in August 2009. It features a creamy, soft blend of floral and fruity notes that are meant to create a sensual, feminine aura around the wearer.

Developed by perfumer Celine Barel, Fancy Love is in some ways a departure from Fancy, its predecessor. While it still preserves some of the sweetness of the original scent, the fruity notes are given a subdued, warmer interpretation that sends off a more mature vibe. The fragrance is also balanced by clean floral notes, which create an unmistakably romantic allure.

Fancy Love begins with a crisp, luminous burst of champagne, bergamot and peach blossom; followed by a floral heart consisting of lotus, jasmin, rose and peony; which leads to a soft, creamy dry down made of amber, musk and blond wood notes.

The fragrance comes in a white, opaque bottle that is covered by a large, golden lid whose shape is reminiscent of vintage bottles, which were the inspiration for the whole design. The Jessica Simpson logo and fragrance name appear in a golden, handwritten font. The box has a simple, but elegant appearance mainly consisting of a white background with golden writing, adorned all over with a beautifully embossed print and featuring Jessica’s picture on one side.

Fancy Love is an inoffensive, warm scent that has good lasting power and moderate silage. Its warm, balanced notes make it appropriate for being worn all year round, but you may find it especially enjoyable during the colder months, because it has a soothing, comforting quality to it. Fancy Love is a surprisingly versatile scent that wears just as well on a regular day at the office, on a casual walk or even on a night out. The classic floral notes, offset by delicious, sweet accords give it an air of sexiness, while still projecting a certain sense of innocence as well. It is more likely to be preferred by younger women; however, the scent itself is timeless and can be worn by anyone, regardless of age.

This fragrance is available as a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml EDP or as a 10ml rollerball in the Jessica Simpson Travel Spray Collection. Fancy Love is also accompanied by body care products, such as body lotion and shower gel. These are available to be purchased separately or in gift sets.
