Jessica Simpson reported to LAX yesterday afternoon to catch a flight out of town. She was able to spend a few weeks at home with her family and fiancé, Eric Johnson, following a stint abroad in Paris and London earlier this month. Eric accompanied her on the trip to Europe, where they enjoyed romantic French strolls and a night mingling with the English at a club. The duo have been doing lots of traveling to support her Jessica Simpson Collection, and it seems design is on her brain whether or not her current getaway is work-related — she jokingly tweeted last night about creating the perfect heel for scuba lovers. Jessica has another potential project in the works as there are rumors she’ll join Simon Cowell’s X Factor. He recently announced that music mogul L.A. Reid will be on the show’s judging panel, but Simon has been mum about Jessica’s appointment, saying only that, “She’s very into the mentoring side.”
