Is Jessica going to be a judge on the US version of the X Factor? It’s a rumour that’s been causing a buzz this weekend and now Jessica has taken to Twitter to set the story straight.
Month: January 2011
January 24, 2011: Jessica Simpson arrives early in the morning at Hollywood studio for a photoshoot.
I’ve added scans from a Dutch magazine Beau Monde to the gallery – beautiful cover feature with Jessica :) Check them out below!
Hey everyone! So due to the fact that I’ve been so busy lately yet don’t want to give up on this website I’ve decided to ask for help. There is this one special girl from the UK – you may know her from the forum – Cheryl who kindly accepted and joined me in running SK! Cheryl will help me get the site up to date with the latest on Jessica :) I’m very excited because I’ve known Cheryl for a long time and she’s very talented, helpful and dedicated so the site can only get better with her on board! :) Thank you Cheryl for willing to help out!
We will also have a new theme sometime soon so stay tuned for that.
Very excited! :)
“Is Jessica Simpson And Eric Johnson‘s Relationship On The Rocks?” asks Perez Hilton, who rarely has the answers.
He goes on to write, “Simpson’s relationship with Eric Johnson may not be as perfect as the singer would like the world to think, and it’s gotten so bad that it’s unclear if they’ll actually even make it down the aisle!”
Perez continues to blather that “a source” reveals Simpson is “becoming increasingly unhappy with many things about her husband-to-be, including the fact that she has been ‘reaching into her pocketbook regularly to pay the bills’ because his current unemployment has left him ’short on cash.’”
The bad blogger then editorializes, “We’re glad that Jessica is noticing these issues and letting herself be bothered by them, instead of just ignoring them for the sake of getting married again.”
Actually, the only thing that should be ignored is Perez’s story.
A source close to Simpson tells Gossip Cop that the actress-singer and Johnson are “still super happy and doing great.”
Jessica Simpson has a lot to be thankful for : her career, her family and friends — and her fiance Eric Johnson’s beautiful backside!
“Saying my prayers before bedtime,” Jessica tweeted on Saturday. “Thank you Lord
for blessing me with a Man that has the perfect Tush…laying my hands upon it with peace :)”
Amen to that! And Eric’s butt isn’t the only blessing she has been tweeting about lately. “I have the best Mom in the world,” she tweeted Wednesday. “She is my night lite and sunshine. In my 30yrs I couldn’t have been blessed with a better friend.”
Getting engaged has not only brought happiness to Jessica Simpson, it’s also brought interest for a lucrative new business of bridal jewelry designed by the star, one of her designer pals tells RadarOnline.com in an exclusive video interview.
The curvy blonde, engaged to Eric Johnson, could expand her billion dollar empire in a joint venture with celebrity designer Pascal Mouawad.
“We’ve had interest from several large retailers across the country to carry a bridal line designed by Jessica,” Mouawad told us.
While no deal has been inked yet, Mouawad — who has collaborated with other A-list stars including Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie and Bridget Marquardt — said a Simpson bridal line would be a winner.
“I think it would be very glamorous,” Mouawad told RadarOnline.com at the The Hospitality Suite at the Nivea for Men Mansion, which was hosted at his Beverly Hills estate.
The 30-year-old Texan grossed nearly $1 billion through a fashion empire that includes jeans, swimwear, shoes, lingerie and accessories and perfumes.
She and Mouawad have already teamed up to market a collection of affordable watches, which will launch in the fall.
They are so close that Mouawad plans to give her a diamond necklace for her upcoming nuptials.
“I’m still making it right now and it’s also somewhat of a surprise,” he told RadarOnline.com. (Well, it was!)
“No one really knows what it looks like, but it’s something she’ll be receiving shortly.”
Mouawad said: “It will be over 10 carats. I hope she likes it. I’m sure she will!”
Celebrities, in Hollywood for the Golden Globes, picked up gifts from Mouawad, JOICO Hair Care and Pandora.
They were also primped by Mika Fowler of Gavert Atelier salon, George Papanikolas of Andy Lecompte salon and Valerie Beverly Hills makeup.
Since announcing her engagement to Eric Johnson back in November, it seems Jessica Simpson has been in great spirits.
The 30-year-old singer, actress and reality TV star reportedly left an extra 60 percent tip on a $500 restaurant bill after dining with her mother, assistant and two other friends at the New York Italian restaurant Lavo.
A source told the NY Daily News that after the Southern singer told her server she had been working all day, Simpson, who wore a loose-fitting dress, ordered Macallan 18-year-old single-malt Scotch on the rocks, which she paired with fried Oreos and veal parmigiano.
Not only did she leave a $300 tip, but the Simpson also left a positive message to her waitress, telling her “you were amazing and make this world a better place, Love Jess.”
It seems Jessica Simpson won’t be tiring of her new fiancé any time soon.
The singer welcomed in the New Year with a kiss from Eric Johnson, leaning in to embrace him as they danced in an Aspen nightclub.
The couple stared into one another’s eyes, oblivious to the crowds packed tight around them.
Along with friends and a few other celebrities, Jessica and Eric partied at the Sky Bar in the popular Sky Hotel in downtown Aspen.
This is the first New Year’s Jessica and Eric have spent together.
They began dating in July and celebrated their engagement in November.
Jessica Simpson giggles as she arrives at LAX airport on Saturday (January 8).
The 30-year-old entertainer is back in town after a trip to New York City, where she took part in business meetings.
WWD recently reported that although sales for her makeup free May 2010 cover of Marie Claire were low, Jess‘ September cover of Lucky magazine was the publication’s best selling cover of the year!
Also pictured is Jess with a wild ‘do for a top secret magazine shoot, as captured by her rep, Lauren Auslander!
Apologies for being late with updates but I’ve been sick again :(
Star magazine has enjoyed writing fiction about Jessica Simpson for a long, long time, so this week’s cover story isn’t necessarily a shock.
According to the tab, Simpson’s a “homewrecker” who “stole” fiance Eric Johnson away from his wife.
A so-called “friend” tells Star the former NFL player’s ex, Keri Johnson, had only recently agreed to “take a break” from their marriage when Simpson and Eric Johnson “locked eyes” for the first time.
“It’s really difficult for anyone close to Keri to see Jessica as anything but a man-stealer!” declares the Star source, who describes Simpson’s pursuit of Johnson as “a cold, hard slap in the face.”
Star claims Simpson met Johnson – and his wife – when he was invited to a party at her house through mutual acquaintances in 2009. Shortly thereafter, the Johnsons “decided to spend some time apart,” and it “wasn’t long before Jessica was making moves on Eric.”
Of course, the only place any of this actually happened was in Star’s fevered imagination.
Keri Johnson filed for divorce in January 2010.
Simpson met Eric Johnson after that, in spring 2010 at her home, a source close to the singer tells Gossip Cop. And Simpson has never met Keri Johnson, despite Star’s version of events.
To sum up the tabloid’s allegations about Simpson stealing Johnson, our source flatly says, “Not true.”
Over the course of Star’s spotty track record with Simpson, we’ve heard that phrase a lot.
Remember that May 2010 cover Jessica Simpson did for Marie Claire? When she went make-up free?
She said, “I don’t have anything to prove anymore. What other people think of me is not my business.”
Well, it turns out it wasn’t good business for the magazine. WWD reports that it was the publication’s worst seller of the 2010 year (as counted through October by the Audit Bureau of Circulations).
But don’t be too quick to draw conclusions. Simpson was on the September cover of Lucky and it was the top-seller of the year (through November) for the mag.
The big winner of 2010 for covers? Lady Gaga. Her guns-blazing Rolling Stone cover sold nearly three times the usual average. Her Cosmo cover in April was the year’s top seller for that mag. And her September Vanity Fair cover was second only to Angelina Jolie’s.
In the loser category: Taylor Swift. Her April Elle cover was its worst seller of the year; her November cover for Glamour was the second-worst-selling, and her July Marie Claire cover was the third-worst-selling issue for that monthly.
