“According to sources, Jack Nicholson has asked Jessica Simpson on a date!!” reads the lead of another poorly reported post by Perez Hilton.
Hilton claims Nicholson recently invited Simpson to have dinner at his home, but she declined and wondered, “How Jack got my number as we’ve never met.”
The bad blogger then editorializes, “We all know he likes the young ladies, but come on, this is getting ridiculous!”
Actually the phrase, “come on, this is getting ridiculous” could just as easily apply to Hilton and his reporting of this story.
Gossip Cop checked out this tale, and a source close to Simpson assured us it’s “not true at all.” Nicholson never invited her to his house for dinner.
The source added that Simpson laughed over Hilton’s completely fabricated story, which she thought was “hysterical.”
Treating herself to a week-ending dinner on the town, Jessica Simpson was spotted out in Los Angeles, California on Friday night (May 28). All prettied up in a cute little black dress, the “Dukes of Hazzard” damsel smiled as she strolled past paparazzi into the popular Katsuya Japanese eatery.
The dinner outing follows rumors that Miss Simpson nearly showed too much skin while dining at the Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Lounge earlier this month.
With the troublesome situation stemmed from a little food being tossed down her low-cut top, as a source tells the tabs that Jessica “not only dug down into her top, ruffling through bra and cleavage, she even tried burrowing out from beneath, wriggling and digging diligently for the lost tidbit.”
To Jessica Simpson, The Price of Beauty was more than just a reality show — it’s her life’s calling!
“I’m not saying I’m changing the world,” a teary-eyed Simpson said while accepting an award at the Gracies (which honor women in radio and TV) in Beverly Hills Tuesday.
“But…to be able to sit with my Dad and [create] Price of Beauty,” she said of her VH1 show, in which she traveled the world to explore definitions of beauty in various cultures. “It’s similar to missionary work. It was what I was called to do and called to be.” On the series, Simpson visited a “fattening hut” in Uganda, munched fried cockroaches in Thailand, and walked a couture runway in Paris.
Despite the show’s lackluster ratings and tepid reviews, the 29-year-old star said “it’s changing my life, and that’s what it’s all about. We’re all women, we are strong and there is always a life to change, and you are powerful enough to do it!”
The Gracies honored Simpson for her strength and entrepreneurial endeavors in the face of adversity and public scrutiny.
Earlier in her speech, Simpson quipped, “I’m not used to people talking so nice about me,” and explained that she felt “called to the ministry” at church camp (dad Joe Simpson is a preacher) when she was 13.
“I remember calling my parents on a pay phone and said ‘Dad? Mom? Guess what? I’ve been called into the ministry!'” she recounted to the crowd. “And they were like… ‘Whoawhoawhoa, did you sign anything? Are you sure you wanna take this on?’ And I was like ‘Sure, really! I know right now at this very moment I can change the world. Somehow.'”

When Jessica Simpson arrived at the Operation Smile gala in a curve-hugging gown from Carolina Herrera, onlookers immediately noted her newly svelte shape.
The star’s fluctuating weight has been heavily scrutinized over the years, but thanks to her new trainer, Danny Musico, Jessica is finally back in control. “She’s getting leaner and told me she went down three dress sizes,” Musico — who also trains Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Bieber and even Jessica’s dad, Joe Simpson — tells In Touch. “She’s pushing herself to new levels,” explains the former professional boxer. Jessica burns calories through High Definition Training, which combines boxing, cardio and weights. “She’ll run for three minutes as fast as she can, then rest for 30 seconds, then box for three minutes and so on,” says Musico. “It’s a 60-minute, interval-based workout.” Jessica tells In Touch her favorite part is punching. “It gets a lot of aggression out,” she says.
Though they try to meet about four times a week, Musico reveals Jessica’s biggest challenge is her busy schedule. “With her clothing line and getting ready for another season of The Price of Beauty, it’s hard to find the time,” Musico — spokesperson for The Solution supplements — explains. “But when she’s at the gym, she always gives 100 percent.”
