Jessica Simpson is finally sounding off on ex John Mayer for blabbing about their sex life.
“There’s nothing worse than being disappointed in somebody,” the 29-year-old says in an episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” to air Wednesday. “I’m not angry. I’m … well, I’m a little bit angry.”
The singer’s remarks are in response to Mayer’s recent Playboy interview, in which he said Simpson “is like crack cocaine to me.”
[...]
“I don’t want people to know how I am in bed,” Simpson told Winfrey. “I guess it could have been a lot worse.”
Thankfully, the singer seems to not be dwelling on Mayer’s crass comments.
“You can’t love someone else to change them,” she tweeted Sunday. “Happiness comes from accepting who they are. It is our decision to REALLY know who we love.”
Simpson also seems to still be upset over the frenzy that erupted after she wore “mom jeans” that made her look heavier than usual during a 2009 concert.
Appearing on the daytime talk show to promote her new VH1 reality show “The Price of Beauty,” the singer said she is now “absolutely” comfortable with her body.
“I love my curves,” she said. “I’m not going to ever be size 0, and I don’t want to weigh 90 pounds.”
Jessica’s experience during the filming of The Price of Beauty was so transformative that she decided to launch an initiative to make a positive difference in the lives of young people. Geared toward youth in elementary school through college, A Beautiful Me is a collaborative movement with Operation Smile and Jessica to help youth believe in themselves and use their personal strength to change the world.
This movement encourages young people to take a personal oath to identify their inner beauty and unique qualities, recognize their strengths and realize that they can make a difference.
Jessica Simpson and Operation Smile will develop tips and interactive tools that will help young people take this newfound inner strength and share what they’ve learned to empower others to do the same. Through events and online engagement opportunities, students will help raise awareness within their community about Operation Smile and its mission to bring smiles to children around the world.
Jessica will reveal the details of how you can participate in A Beautiful Me on the final episode of The Price of Beauty. So tune in to VH1 for the official launch details on Jessica Simpson’s A Beautiful Me campaign!

Barbara Walters called Jessica Simpson a “victim” in the wake of John Mayer’s controversial Playboy interview during Monday morning’s “Celebrities in Crisis” segment on The View.
Jessica Simpson’s publicist and celebrity scandal crisis manager Cindi Berger appeared on The View to discuss an array of celebrity scandals, and co-host Sherri Shepherd asked her what advice she had given Simpson about responding to Mayer’s controversial statements about her being like “sexual napalm” in bed.
“Um, you’re gonna laugh,” said Berger looking across The View coffee table at Barbara Walters. “She’s booked on The View, and Barbara Walters is gonna be on that day so I’m sure Barbara will ask her those questions.”
Despite Berger’s statement that John Mayer’s Playboy interview was a good reminder to celebrities that “no journalist is your friend,” Walters made it clear that she’s already entering into the Jessica Simpson interview with a readily admitted bias: “She’s the victim in this case,” said Walters. “She’s-she didn’t do anything wrong.”
Berger gave some insight into how John Mayer’s Playboy interview went awry: “He clearly felt very comfortable in speaking to the writer who I actually know and he, um gave a lot of information. Too much information. Also, the story was a Q and A so his answers, his responses were his words.”
Berger guessed that John Mayer’s Playboy interview had taken place without guidance from his publicist.
“Sometimes publicists get a phone call after the interview is over and you have to get a Hoover and clean up the mess,” said Berger.
The View has not yet announced when Jessica Simpson will appear.
