At the hospital over the past few days to visit her “Nana,” who had a tumor removed Jan. 29, Jessica Simpson has been passing the hours admiring the “cute doctors” – and it looks like they are returning the attention.
On Monday the pop star – who’s single again – Tweeted: “Bored at the hospital. I think I’m gonna go look for some hot doctors. McDreamy? McSteamy? Clooney? Let the search begin …”
And it appears she found her medic – who delivered just the right prescription: a spelling lesson.
On Jan. 30, Simpson attempted to quote Bob Dylan when she Tweeted, “You can fake an orgasim [sic] but you can’t fake laughter.” Hours later, however, she clarified her message by saying that she meant “orgasm,” not orgasim.”
The fix came, she Tweeted, as a result of “one of the cute doctors here at the hospital informed me of my misspelled tweet. Hmm … was he hitting on me?”
Still, Simpson – whose VHI docu-reality series, The Price of Beauty, premieres March 15 – is there to be with her grandmother. On Jan. 29 she Tweeted that she didn’t like going back to her hotel and leaving her grandmother in her hospital room, “but I’ll b[e] back there tomorrow. Lovin’ on her. Nana is a fighter!”
To her fans – and the doctors, obviously – Simpson added: “Pls keep praying .”

One person who’s not keeping close tabs on Jessica Simpson’s weight ups and downs: her little sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.
During a Wednesday appearance at the Hershey’s Store in Manhattan’s Times Square, Simpson-Wentz, 25, shrugged when asked if folks are too hard on her big sister’s body. “I just don’t get why it’s such a topic,” she told UsMagazine.com.
At a Jan. 15 press conference for her VH1 reality show The Price of Beauty, Jessica, 29, admitted “I haven’t always had an inner confidence, and I haven’t always looked at my reflection and loved it.”
Simpson-Wentz also demurred on the topic of Jessica’s new friend Billy Corgan. “Oh gosh,” she said. “I don’t think I’m going to go there right now.” Jessica and Corgan, 42, went on six dates before calling off the romance earlier this month. (“They’re working on being friends,” a pal says. “Jessica is proving to herself that she can be pals with a guy she used to date.”)
Married to rocker Pete Wentz with their baby boy Bronx, 14 months, Simpson-Wentz is optimistic for Jessica’s romantic future, despite her rocky past with the likes of ex-husband Nick Lachey, wacky musician John Mayer and football star Tony Romo. “She’s my sister!” Simpson-Wentz said. “I want her to just be really happy.”
Although Kathy Griffin lost out on best comedy album during the Grammy Awards held Sunday in Los Angeles, the comedienne, 49, would gladly swap lives with Jessica Simpson – even though she’s unlucky in love and gets bullied for weight woes.
“I don’t think Jessica Simpson has a void, I swear to God,” she says. “I think that whole thing is like Jennifer Aniston, when they try to act like she’s all pitiful. I think Jessica Simpson’s doing just fine. I would switch places with her in a heartbeat.”
This morning, Feb. 1, Jessica Simpson tweeted to her 2 million fans, “Hospital breakfast…oh joy!!”
Don’t worry, Jessica is fine … but her Nana has been in the hospital since Jan. 28, because she had a tumor removed. On Jan. 29, Jess Tweeted, “Don’t like having to leave and go back to a hotel room, but I’ll b back there tomorrow lovin’ on her. Nana is a fighter! Pls keep praying.”
But the always hilarious Jess was quickly back to cracking jokes. “‘You can fake an orgasim [sic] but you can’t fake laughter’ —Bob Dylan,” she wrote. And a few hours later: “I meant ‘orgasm’ not orgasim … one of the cute doctors here at the hospital informed me of my misspelled tweet. Hmm…was he hitting on me?”
Well, Jess, it’s sad to hear about your Nana BUT it’s great that your keeping your spirits up! AND who knows? You may have scored a date!
