Jessica Simpson Isn’t Dating Taylor Kitsch

When I heard that Jessica Simpson had gotten her well-manicured talons into my favorite actor, Taylor Kitsch, I was ready to fight her for him. In addition to being totally gorgeous, the 28-year-old Friday Night Lights star is an amazing actor. I mean, who else could give a sad sack, sort of stupid hometown football player such emotion and depth? Sigh.

So I was pleased as punch to hear rumors of a love affair between the voluptuous Ms. Simpson, 29, and my dream man were completely false.

“There is no truth,” the insider tells HollywoodLife.com of tales that Jessica and Taylor have been dating since December. “They’ve never even met!”

Taylor WOULD be just Jessica’s type. She’s into hunky, muscled football players (i.e. ex-boyfriend and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo) and Taylor played – get this – hunky, muscled high school football player Tim Riggins on Friday Night Lights. A match made in heaven? Not so much. I happen to know that Taylor prefers brunettes: he DID date former co-star (and current Derek Jeter flame) Minka Kelly, after all.
