“I don’t want to get bored,” she tells Extra in an interview airing Friday. “I can bore out pretty easily, so I love intellectual men … people that will always keep me intrigued.”

“I definitely love a spiritual man — somebody that is going to always inspire me,” says the singer, who was dumped by Tony Romo the day before her 29th birthday in July. “And, you know, I love artistic men — somebody that really understands their art.”

Simpson recently returned from India – with a Henna “tattoo” – where she filmed more scenes for her upcoming VH1 reality show, The Price of Beauty.

“I couldn’t have had this journey at a better time in my life — to seek out beauty, to seek out confidence, and to seek out the power of a woman,” says the singer, whose fluctuating weight has been criticized this year.

She insists she doesn’t let the negativity bring her down.

Says Simpson, “It really is about who I am and what I want to become, and what’s going to make the best version of myself.”

During her last night in India, Jessica attended a bash in her honor at the Vie Lounge in downtown Mumbai after spending the day on a shopping spree in the markets of Colaba.

Ken Paves is a celebrity hairstylist out of Beverly Hills (USA). She will reportedly shoot in India starting next week for her VH1 docu-series show “The Price of Beauty”.

In this show, Simpson will reportedly get some beauty pointers from Bollywood actress-model Neha Dhupia (Singh is Kinng), 29, who was quoted as saying: “I know for sure that Jessica will be draped in a saree.”

Simpson reportedly may also study the local dietary fads, beauty regimes and fashions and even take part in some of the extreme practices she finds out.

Simpson will be throwing a grand Bollywood party after completing this shooting, reports indicate.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has urged Simpson to spend some time in an ashram (hermitage) while in India and explore Hinduism for solace, reinventing her, and to bring meaning to her life. Ashram stay might help bring Simpson tranquility, spirituality and serenity, Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, added in a statement in Nevada (USA) today.

Zed says that ashram is a place of retreat usually used for spiritual development and India is full of them. Even Lord Krishna himself went to sage Sandipani’s ashram to gain knowledge.

The actor, 39 — who was rumored to be romancing everyone from Bounty costar Jennifer Aniston to Cameron Diaz — was spotted with the 29-year-old singer — and hairstylist Ken Paves — Tuesday night at NYC’s SoHo House.

They “seemed to only be interested in each other and chatted for hours,” a spy told the New York Post’s Page Six. Simpson or Butler have yet to comment, but a source close to the singer tells Usmagazine.com, “There is nothing romantic there at all.”

The pair were spotted having dinner and acting flirtatious Tuesday night at Soho House in New York City Tuesday, where they sat with friends who included Simpson pal, the hairstylist Ken Paves, according to the New York Post’s Page Six.

But a source close to Butler, 39, says the hullabaloo is probably over nothing.

“I’m never surprised to hear that Gerard is with someone new. None of those relationships last,” the source tells PEOPLE. “Certainly he’s not planning on settling down with Jessica Simpson … Gerard plays the field … and Jessica is lonely … and she lost weight and is looking good.”

The media tends to misinterpret Butler’s ladies’ man personality as something more serious, and that may again be the case with Simpson, 29, the source said.

“Every time you hear about him out with someone, he’s flirting and ‘cozy’ with them and making googly eyes at them,” the source said. “Maybe that’s just what he does with everyone. Maybe that’s just how he is.”

Indeed, Butler has been spotted on so-called group dates with other women, including his costar in The Bounty, Jennifer Aniston.

Simpson, on the other hand, has been flirting with the idea of online dating.

Calls to Butler’s rep were not immediately returned.
